A nameless man wakes up in an open pine box next to two dead outlaws. As a boy pokes him with a stick, he rises and stumbles out of the casket. Not knowing who he is or why he is there, he knocks a shocked old man from his horse and rides out of town. The amazed townspeople stare in disbelief as the dead man rides away. They call him dead man, hoodoo and Coffin Man as time goes by as he mindlessly raids the town and surrounding towns in a quest to find himself and discover if he is human, a ghost or a monster.
